Kahani - an animated film by Meg Park

Watched this great piece of animation today by a former student, Meg Park. I taught Meg during her time on our HND Illustration with Design course in 2008, and she's now in her final year at Dundee's Duncan of Jordanstone Art School. Her work is currently part of the Final Degree Show there, which runs from May 22nd to May 3oth.





Meg was already experimenting with animation during her HND, and outside of her college work she produced some amazing photoshop drawings, mostly of strange Henri Rousseau-inspired jungle scenes and felines.

So its no surprise that these visual themes dominate her animated work 'Kahani'. The water effects and the facial expressions in this film are brilliant, the story is hugely entertaining and its fantastically well produced. And there's even a twist ending.
